Ghanaian media personality and socialite, Adu Safowaah, is stirring up conversations with a bold message to the youth and singles across the country: stay away from sex if you’re not married.
In a recent public statement, Adu Safowaah emphasized that sex is sacred and should be reserved strictly for marriage. According to her, engaging in sexual activity outside of marriage opens the door to a host of negative consequences, both spiritual and physical.

“Sex isn’t just about pleasure,” she said. “It’s meant for married people. When you have sex without that covenant, you risk delaying your destiny.”
She added that many young Ghanaians are struggling financially and spiritually because of their casual approach to sex. “Some people are still poor and begging because they give their bodies away carelessly. It drains your energy and blessings,” she claimed.
Her remarks have sparked debates online, with some praising her for her spiritual insight, while others challenge her perspective.
Nonetheless, Adu Safowaah remains firm in her message: discipline in relationships is a step toward a fulfilled life.
